REQUIREMENTS: Photoshop knowledgeable, Painter comfortable but
don't have to be an expert..we will go over basics one more time.
Laptop...camera....wacom tablet
WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:
Sunday: Day 1. Morning:
We do introductions of the students and then of ourselves. Participants
get set up etc.
We take the rest of the time to introduce ourselves and what we are going to teach … etc.
LUNCH
Sunday: Day 1. Afternoon:
Marilyn: Painter: 2 hours: 1 pm to 3 o'clock: demos and talk on Painter.
Do a run through of a basic "set up" for Painter. Basic layout of
palettes, loading brushes. Etc.
How to make your own personal
folder for your own created brushes
Half hour break
Theresa: Two hours: 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm….PowerPoint Presentation on
Perceptual Vision and Composition. This is a talk, which is loaded
with images showing lots of examples.
Monday: Day 2 Morning:
Marilyn: Working in Painter . Portrait Painting session Based on your demo of yesterday's Portrait painting.
Lunch
Monday: Day 2 Afternoon:
Theresa : Talk and demo on Infrared Photography. How to get the most
of your IR files. We will talk about cameras and exposures and what
papers to print the IR print onto for a great b/w print as well as one
for hand coloring.
Demo on Hand coloring the inkjet print with Pastel pencils and
Digitally Painting the b/w or sepia toned image with Photoshop and in Corel's Painter.
Tuesday: Day 3 Morning.
Excursion for photographing somewhere nearby… Participants can use IR
cameras or photograph landscape with using Painter in mind.
Home for Lunch:
Tuesday: Day 3 Afternoon 1pm to 2:30 pm
Working in Painter with Marilyn "Painting the Landscape".
Tuesday: Day 3 Afternoon 3pm. To 5pm.
Working with Collage in Photoshop and Painter with Theresa
Working in layers… tips and tricks.
Wednesday: Day 4. Morning:
Theresa: Morning: Photoshop tricks and tips and working with third
party softwares such as Nik's color filters, mystical lighting, Nik's
sharpner Pro, Boinx Fotomagico, TOPAZ filters, Lucis filters plus more! Get yourself ready to publish your own Fine Art book!
Marilyn Afternoon: Painter: Painting our Mixed Media art pieces with gels and special materials we provide! You will be taking home a boxed piece of art ready to hang on your wall! This is a beautiful multi media 3D piece of art you will be creating.
Thursday: Day 5
Working on Participants images whatever they want or need. We can give each individual time on this day.
Cover personalized help for each students project both with Marilyn and Theresa
Thursday Day 5: Afternoon from 3 pm. To 5pm:
Print the favorite painting and slide show of everyones images and
discussion of details of how each was done and the artistic thought
process plus insights from Theresa and Marilyn
